We are developing a project that allows poor farmers to grow and feed chickens without feeding their chickens things the family would normally eat…like corn, which is what almost all poor farmers do in Honduras.

In addition to the large compost mulch yard and the BSF there are several other things we are doing to provide feed for the chickens. As we make progress and have time to create videos we will post it here.
While the first video offers an overview of the BSF project, this video offers more details of how we built the “incubator” and the nests.

BSF have much going for them….easy to care for. They only need to be fed. They self harvest. They process waste. But, most of all they provide great nutrition for chickens and fish.
