We want to introduce a new future to the people of Honduras. We are not interested in doing some “feel good” things which have no long lasting effects. We want to do things that will help families long after our lives have ended. These are the ways we seek to accomplish that goal.

One, promote better education. We want to develop a series of schools which will provide and excellent education for children. In these schools, children will not only learn the normal lessons of academics, they will also learn how to grow a better future. We want them to learn to develop a roadmap for a successful life.

We want them to learn about civic responsibility. We want them to learn how to influence the political process so that the impoverished are not overlooked, neglected and forgotten. These children would become the best educated people in Honduras. The children learn not only academic studies. The students learn lessons for success in life. The students learn honesty, honor, public service, national pride, business skills, responsibility and much more. These students would become the civic, business and  political leaders of the future Honduras. These students would transform Honduras into a new nation.

We want to develop schools which become models for other schools. We want to influence education through Honduras.

Two, we want to create a 1000 new small family business. These business will become not only the source of support for the family, these business will instill greater self-sufficiency, and independence and a greater stake in the future of Honduras.

Three, we want to help build a 1000 homes for a 1000 homeless families. A home will go a long way towards fostering stronger family life, a greater likelihood of children remaining in school, a healthier body, an investment in the community and a sense of empowerment.

Four, we want to support 100 good students from poor families to attend college in Honduras. The nation needs more educated people if it is to compete with its neighbors for the future that is coming.

Five, we want to build three multi-purpose campuses through out the nation. The campuses would not be large. They would be set on approximately 20 acres each. The campuses would develop the future business, civic and political leaders of the nation.

These campuses will be a combination of:

1. Retreat centers where young potential leaders will gather periodically to be nurtured, mentored and prepared to lead with compassion for the needy in their nation.
2. They will be the home of college education in a residential setting. Now, Honduras has no residential campuses. Therefore, most rural students are excluded from the opportunity of a college education. We would have three small campuses located in rural areas. Each college would have approximately 25 students. It would be bilingual. Much of the faculty would be volunteers from the USA who would teach for one week a year.
3. The campus would be a place where “at risk children” from the cities are brought to experience a healthy, positive, nurturing environment. Now, these at risk kids are the main supply for new recruits to the violent street gangs in the cities.
4. Each campus would be the site of a medical clinic where the poor could receive adequate medical attention and training in preventative medicine, nutrition, etc.
5. The campus would be the place where volunteers from the USA could stay while serving in various capacities in the area.

Now, this is only a dream. But, we are working diligently to have it become a reality. With your assistance, the dream of changed lives will become real.
