About Honduras
Nate Johnson volunteered with us for several months. During his time off, he enjoyed some traveling in Honduras. Through his eyes, you can learn some things about Honduras. These are Nate’s Notes.
Christopher Englin volunteered with us while we were just opening the LTC. He used some of his free time to travel and to blog. These are Chris’ Notes.
These are notes from one of Honduras’ Largest Newspapers. It provides a composite view of Honduras through the sharing of data rather than stories. Data on Honduras
For those interested in volunteering for more than a few weeks, these notes offer some practice guidance. Long Term Volunteers
Each student who is accepted by TLC must be recommended by someone from a charity, a Peace Corps Volunteer or NGO. These videos were posted by those making recommendations of students. These brief videos allow you to see the kind of homes our students come from. Although you may not understand the language, the visuals are enough to tell the story of the type of students we serve. The weather in Honduras vary greatly depending on elevation and distance from the coasts. There are two charts showing seasonal weather patters. One is for San Pedro Sula, which is near the north coast. The other is of Tegucigalpa which is in central Honduras. TLC is about 30 miles from Tegucigalpa and because of our elevation, our campus is cooler and has a little less rain. Seasonal Weather Patterns
